I am so honored by my recent invitation to view Diane Von Furstenberg’s new collection at a pop-up event and style an outfit. She is such a fashion icon of mine. I admire DVF for her philanthropy, empowering women and finding new ways to connect with her customers. The event took place at Fort Mason in San Francisco. Her team transformed an industrial space into a multidisciplinary pop-up that melds creativity, innovation, technology and fashion. The space was full of color, texture and that unmistakable DVF flare. It was a collaboration between her and

I am excited to share this post on how to style your Holiday Season with a versatile jumpsuit. I love it when I find a piece so versatile that it works year round effortlessly. That would be the one piece jumpsuit that I discovered last spring. It took me through the summer and now I’m styling it for winter. To show you how it can work on many body shapes and for casual or dressy occasions, I asked my blogger colleague Meaghan from Pebble and Pearl to help me show off

A pleated skirt, is no longer just a school uniform staple, it has come of age in 2016. Featured on runways for Dior and Guy Laroche, this season’s pleated skirt is feminine and floaty, reaching to the knees or lower. Think less ‘back to school’ and more retro 1950s elegance. This season’s skirt comes in a variety of colors and textures, from subtle beige and neutral colors that are perfect for office wear, everyday wear or evening attire. With its cinched waist, it flatters all figures, creating a ladylike silhouette.   A pleated

What is the secret of successful mixing and matching when it comes to clothing? It is combining different textures and styles that work together, like velvet and satin, lace and leather, chunky woolens and smooth knits, bold florals over stripes. This Fall, we are seeing lots of layering of many textures and patterns from the Fashion Houses to create a deep and lush look. With so many textures to choose from, layering them all together is the right idea, but where to start? Here are some of my tried and

How to dress up a cover up for a date night It has been too long since I have posted! My recent trip to Moscow with my daughter and planning my very first Pop-Up shop has given me limited spare, time but lots of time to think creatively and how I can add value to you, my dear readers. I have missed all of you tremendously, and am super excited to share my latest looks and things I have been working on. The look here was an outfit I wore

Resort season is in full swing and the beauty of living in sunny California is that you can pull off a resort look without having to travel to the Bahamas. But hey, if you are going to a resort these items will be helpful in creating a one of a kind elegant extravaganza. What exactly is a resort look? Resort look refers to a casual but elegant style of dressing while on vacation. It requires clean and tailored details. Lets look at my example. I used items that have been trending for the last few seasons

If you live in San Francisco, you know how different the weather can be in just one day and even one hour. Having a jacket, scarf or a cape is a must to keep warm when that wind picks up. I fell in love with this fabulous cape by D’Clic designs the minute I saw it. It adds so much drama to your outfit, and  it keeps you warm any time of the year. The quality and craftsmanship of this cape are just fabulous. I love the red lining, the leather hem

A mothers best gift

Hi everyone, A mothers best gift is spending time with her loved ones. Being restaurateurs our family’s schedule is different from nine-to-fivers.  We jump at the opportunity to do activities as a family at any given moment.  Often we choose to do a family bike ride, a one day get away or a stroll through the aquatic park; where our beloved daddy trains for triathlons.  The aquatic park is beautiful and on this day Yana and I had fun playing in the wind. For the adventure we brought our new favorite family

Hello Everyone, I want to share my joy in hosting the first Oliamoda appreciation event, April 9 for my followers and friends at the Manika Jewelry boutique in downtown San Francisco.  Thank you to everyone who attended “An Afternoon with Olia” on this rainy Saturday. The weather did not stop us from having fun, sharing laughs, dressing up and taking fabulous photos. And for those of you who did not attend, here are the highlights of this wonderful day in fab photos captured by Kaitlyn Miller. We were also honored

Hi Everyone, It has been an exciting week for Oliamoda.  My blog was featured on the local ABC news where I got to talk about spring trends and share some of my spring forward looks.
