I had the honor to attend the #BlogHer20 conference in LA, which is centered around women’s health and wellness.

There is nothing quite as inspiring as a group of like-minded women and industry leaders gathered in one place to advocate for women’s health and to destigmatize the conversation around women’s wellness.

A panel that was particularly interesting to me was “Food as Fuel;” a discussion around the misconceptions of different diets and healthy habits.

In a world where we are bombarded with endless information and choices when it comes to diet, types of exercise, and different vitamins and supplements, it is so important to educate ourselves on what’s out there and to see what works for each of us individually.

Reality is, there is not one specific diet plan or supplement that works the same for everyone. Health and wellness is a very personal, unique journey and has to be approached as such.

One of the things that stuck with me the most from the panel is the concept of being more in tune with your body. You need to keep track of how it responds to each of the things you eat and drink in order to find the answers for a healthier and happier you.

We are all bio individuals and the journey to wellness takes patience and commitment.

Some of the basic but very important steps to a healthier you are a good diet, exercise and supplements. In fact, vitamins are a crucial part of a holistic health approach and an overall healthy existence.

I have been taking supplements for as long as I can remember. Having my father in the industry has helped me understand which exact supplements I should be taking at the different stages of my life. Nature Made had an awesome presence at #BlogHer20 Health and allowed attendees to learn about and sample their new vitamin gummies. Nature Made products have been in my household for years, so I was happy to be able to connect with them at the event.

Eating Vitamin C rich foods and taking a supplement that supports immune health like Nature Made Elderberry Gummies with Vitamin C and Zinc is my current go to.

There are an overwhelming number of vitamin brands to choose from; I suggest sticking with brands that have been around for a long time and show a commitment to helping people lead healthier lives. Nature Made meets this criteria! Personally, I prefer their gummies because they are easier for me to digest, but everyone is different. You can try them in capsules or tablets to see what works better for you.

Two Elderberry Gummies with Vitamin C and Zinc daily helps support the immune system! †

I am also taking vitamin D to maintain healthy bones. It helps you regulate and absorb calcium better. † Us Californians get some vitamin D from the sun, but I prefer to protect my skin from the sun while still receiving the benefits of vitamin D from a supplement. Nature Made’s new Extra Strength Vitamin D Gummies contain 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 per serving, which is actually the body’s preferred form of vitamin D.

All Nature Made gummies are made from natural flavors and colors derived from natural sources, no synthetic dyes, no preservatives and are gluten free. This makes them a totally great choice for adults who want an alternative to tablets or capsules.

The journey to a healthier you starts with you. It takes cautious living and a level of commitment to be the healthiest version of yourself. I recommend having a diary so you can track how certain foods and daily actions make you feel. It can help you understand what your body might be in need of.

I would love to hear what you guys are currently doing to keep yourself healthy. Please share your experiences and tips in the comments below!

Thank you for reading and keep styling,
