How to wear a pink pleated skirt
A pleated skirt, is no longer just a school uniform staple, it has come of age in 2016. Featured on runways for Dior and Guy Laroche, this season’s pleated skirt is feminine and floaty, reaching to the knees or lower. Think less ‘back to school’ and more retro 1950s elegance. This season’s skirt comes in a variety of colors and textures, from subtle beige and neutral colors that are perfect for office wear, everyday wear or evening attire. With its cinched waist, it flatters all figures, creating a ladylike silhouette.
A pleated skirt like this one is sure to become your new everyday wardrobe essential giving you a chic and classic style every time you put it on. This is an extremely versatile skirt, it can be used to dress up sweaters, t shirts, blouses, bombers, you name it. In this example with a graphic green flower tea, I am adding a splash of color with a contrasting bright cropped top. I teamed the two with a pair of strappy chunky heels to complete this urban chic look.
Here I am pairing the skirt with a longer graphic tee, that I am tucking into the skirt, combining both feminine and androgynous vibes for an overall winning look that evokes awesome retro vibes.
I kept things monochrome with a charcoal cold shoulder cropped sweater, for an effortlessly classy outfit.
To sum it all up, pleated skirt will give you sexy, edgy, feminine, classy and oh-so many other variations of looks depending on what you choose to pair it with.
