4 Spring Trends That Are Taking Over
One of the best places to gather inspirations for the upcoming season’s trends is street style during Fashion Weeks. Certain Spring trends have positioned themselves as must have items of the season. Here are top 4 you should get your hands on now.
- Skinny sunglasses.
These Matrix inspired shades are somewhat a blast from the past. Whereas for others these narrow lens-shades might come off as a futuristic item. Regardless of how you perceive them, the force is strong with these! From Balenciaga to Paris Fashion Week, they are taking over.
You might get surprised at how much personality you will achieve by accessorizing your look with these geometric shades. Tip: pick them in a bright color to transition your winter wardrobe with that much-needed pop for Spring. I chose mine in red. Besides it being the color for Spring 2018, it is also a shade that flatters most skin types.
2. A leather trench coat.
A trench is such a classic statement piece and should earn a permanent spot in your closet. This season proves that this timeless layer will transition you in Spring with style and sleekness you can only achieve from the cut of the trench. Best part it looks great with anything. Therefore, I picked mine up from a vintage store and cannot be happier with the quality and craftsmanship that will last me for many years.
3. A multicolor skirt.
Last year proved that experimenting with color combos can be fun. We were seeing color clashes like never before. Pinks and yellows, greens and blues were presented together in harmonious pieces that were dominating the runways. This season the trend takes a new level of confidence by providing us with stunning items like pleated skirts in unexpected multicolored patterns. If you are hesitant to mix your colors like this, a pleated skirt is a great place to start. The pleat softness up the color clash and creates a versatile bottom piece that can be dressed up or down.
4. A see-through bag.
From NY, to Milan, to Paris, the clear bag trend is elbowing its way to the forefront of items you need to have this Spring. Just be mindful that your belongings are out there for everyone to see. Also, I suggest investing into a quality option as plastic can come off looking cheap. I was not sure what to think of it first, but invested in one anyway. I cannot be happier with how much unique element it brings to a variety of my outfits: it is coming with me to MBFW Russia & will be paired with so many looks.
Which of these Spring trends do you feel like resonates with you the most? Regardless of your choice, rest assured you will set a tone of a fashion-forward thinker in any of these items. So check out the shop-able items below and decide which one is for you. Stay tuned for my report from Moscow Fashion Week that I am just landed to report on.
